Live from Salzburg, Christof Loy stages the most Marivaudian of Mozart's operas which is conducted by Joanna Mallwitz, the first woman to conduct an opera since the beginning of the prestigious festival. It tells the story of two young soldiers, Guglielmo and Ferrando, who are engaged to two sisters, Fiordigili and Dorabella. The cynical Don Alfonso, a middle-aged bachelor, bets 100 sequins that he'll be able to prove that their beloveds are unfaithful.
