Street & Urban ArtMurals: Walls as canvasses
Painted in public spaces, murals are made by artists who don’t necessarily have a background in graffiti. They use the facades of buildings as canvasses, expressing their creativity wide out in the open, for all to see. These works of art offer an inclusive alternative to galleries and museums, which are often less accessible.
This programme by German channel ARD is part of The European Collection, a joint initiative of European public media (ARD, ARTE, France Télévisions, SRG SSR and ZDF), coordinated by ARTE.
