Beethoven: Symphony No. 6 - The PastoralDiego Fasolis - Lugano

Composed between 1807 and 1808, at the same time as the famous 5th Symphony, the Sixth Symphony was named ‘the pastoral’ by Beethoven himself. This profoundly original work, in five movements, offers a reverential musical portrait of nature. It is performed outdoors on the lakeshore at the Lugano Arte e Cultura (LAC) cultural centre. The Swiss chamber orchestra I Barocchisti is conducted by Diego Fasolis, a Lugano native.
