The town of Cotulla was in one of the poorest regions of Texas until 2010 when the fracking boom hit. With the discovery of oil and shale gas poor ranchers became millionaires and local people profited by renting out their homes and land to the influx of new workers. But not everyone has benefitted from this black gold rush.
