Rap doesn't always have to be a subversive meta-commentary on power, politics and race: sometimes it can just be about going to the club and being the best dressed - or the best full stop - in the room. Years ahead of his time Booba was bringing over American rap tropes into French. His rhymes were full of punchlines.
