The Kamele n’goni is a plucked stringed instrument from West Africa, distinct from the Kora as it uses a pentatonic scale. Normally having 4 to 7 strings, the Malian Abou Diarra has made it his own with a 14 stringed instrument. These modifications means he can produce sounds reminiscent of the guitar, the harp and even some percussion instruments.
