The Flywheel: A Forgotten Energy Source

26 min
Available from 30/09/2017 to 29/12/2017
Start, brake, start, brake, start, brake... In everyday life, traffic jams are synonymous with great loss of energy and fuel (not to mention frustration!). But it could also be very useful: the repeated braking causes heating of the brakes, a consequence of the transformation of energy into heat. However, this energy could be recovered by a flywheel, a method still rarely used.
