Charles, Dead or Alive
On the 100th anniversary of the founding of a Swiss watchmaking company, its owner Charles Dé gives his family the slip and disappears into thin air. His only accomplices are his daughter and a young couple he has just met by chance. Charles moves in with the couple who come to love him, and spends his days reading, eating, drinking and engaging in philosophical discussions. But his entrepreneurial son sends a detective after him.
