The 35th European Film Awards will take place in front of a live audience at the Harpa concert hall in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The ceremony honours European cinematic achievement in 24 categories and welcomes special guests and representatives of the European Film Academy, such as current president Agnieszka Holland, chair Mike Downey and board members such as Nina Hoss, Baltasar Kormakur: The categories will be presented by internationally renowned talent.
This year’s European Lifetime Achievement award will be presented to director and screenwriter Margarethe von Trotta and Palestinian director Elia Suleiman will be awarded the European Achievement in World Cinema award.
