Belgian archaeologist Peter Eeckhout has been leading a dig for more than twenty years in Pachacamac, Peru, in the middle of the desert. He discovered that this immense sacred site was, during the Inca period, a place of pilgrimage comparable to that which exists in Lourdes today.
