In western Japan, in Ichijodani, a medieval town abandoned 400 years ago was found under rice fields. Archaeologists have discovered a 16th century time capsule: a city with its streets, houses and palace. The Belgian archaeologist Peter Eeckhout takes us on a trip to traditional Japan.
